Good ole St. Louis has a lot to celebrate... my original hometown is #1 in baseball and #1 in danger too!! Take THAT and THAT, Detroit. It took serious work and perseverence to edge out The Motor City in both contests.

But if there is gonna be double-winner next year, I'm putting my $$$ on Oakland.

To be fair, statistics are unkind to the Gateway of the West as only the city core is counted, and white flight has been going on for 5 decades leaving a depopulated urban wasteland. I wonder what percentage of hardcore Cardinals fans actually live within the city limits where games are played? Regardless, Cardinals fans deserved this baseball title since they are obviously risking their lives each and every gameday.
