Kari arranged for us to get a "tour" of the Salesforce Tower on at Saturday at 1:00, so the lighting is exactly wrong. Please bear with me as I try to salvage some shots.
I do recommend taking this "tour" which is really a trip up the elevator to the 360 observation that is pretty darned sweet. It's all free.
Simon's EYC team was one of 3 youth teams to compete against some of the best-ranked match racers in the USA on the SF Cityfront.
Summer BAYS #1
The local kids racing in multiple classes out of Richmond YC over a windy weekend in June. Carnage both days! Simon raced lasers and Henry crewed in a c420 (then switched to skipper.)

Great regatta out of Cabrillo Beach YC in San Pedro. The west coast c420 fleet is very healthy. Henry raced with Ben Foox and Simon raced with Jasper Reid.
In September there were wildfires all over California... this one was more like a prelude to the real devastation. It was put out quickly by the local air team. These pics are taken from the Alameda Bike Bridge about 5 minutes from our house.
While Simon was taking his Level 1 coaching class at Inverness Yacht Club, Kari hung out nearby for a few days on a little Point Reyes retreat. They got all kinds of weather including 30+ knot winds and unmistakable liberal legend Robert Reich was on the premises.
Epic ending to the 2017 Opti Heavy Weather Regatta out of the St. Francis Yacht Club on the San Francisco Yacht Club. It came down to the last race but Henry managed to fend off his good friend / South Americans roommate for the title, give dad the best 50th birthday / fathers day present ever.
