Hoel beats Henry to the mark with the "lift of the day" at Lucky Cove on a very desperate-for-wind day. Sometimes the puff catches you by surprise, as evidence here. There is a cliff just behind me where I am videoing and the puffs come over with very little warning.
Collection of regattas in the SF Bay Area and down to Southern California. Henry won the Summer BAYS trophy for the second year in a row and the first with SFYC rather than EYC. Simon raced opti's and 420's. He qualified for the Bemis finals in San Diego and got 15th down there. He was also "honorably discharged" from optimist sailing following WCC's down at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club.
Harken #1 was a great warm up for 2016 Team Trials to be held a few weeks later at the same venue. Some of the best opti sailors from around the country came to race and get used to the venue.
