Harken #1 was a great warm up for 2016 Team Trials to be held a few weeks later at the same venue. Some of the best opti sailors from around the country came to race and get used to the venue.
The way high school sailing keeps it fair is they all bring or charter boats but PCISA distributes the numbered sails. You may start in your boat but then you keep rotating up numbers. The sails are equals and the boats are less so (some of them are real beaters!)

This is the regatta that Simon is winning a tough race but then goes back to rescue his lucky red visor.
